Want to know more about psychiatric aspects of brain injury?
We have developed an online learning module based on our sold out 2019 Psychiatric Aspects of Brain Injury workshop.
The web based learning module provides an overview of the most commonly seen psychiatric conditions following traumatic brain injury. Frontal and executive dysregulation syndromes such as abulia, apathy, dysregulation, lability, compulsive behaviours, aggression, sexual disinhibition; discrete psychiatric syndromes such as anxiety, depression, psychosis, obsessive compulsive disorder and PTSD are covered.
Information on how and when to refer to a psychiatrist is discussed along with a proposed referral pathway. Multidisciplinary panel discussion of a complex brain injury case help to consolidate learning and highlight the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to managing complex brain injury cases.
